Story

This summer, Diptyque invites you to a refreshing, sensorial escape at the heart of a water garden. A place paved with ancient stones and shaded by umbrella pines, where flowering shrubs mingle with blossoming orange trees. Majestic fountains release crystal-clear water, their droplets suspended in the air, shimmering and sparkling beneath the bright sun. Every sense is awakened.

To bring this summer scene to life, Diptyque turned to the exceptional artistry of Mathilde Jonquière, to create a collection of original mosaic works. Inspired by summer water garden landscapes, the mosaic artist imagines and composes frescoes by meticulously arranging tesserae of Venetian enamels, glass paste and gold. Featured on limited-edition bottles and boxes of the collection, these designs capture the poetry of the moment, like a mirror reflecting the freshness of a lush, sunlit garden.

Nestled in the Aveiro region of Portugal, the NG Porcelanas manufactory has for over 20 years been upholding an exceptional artisanal know-how, crafting some of the most renowned porcelain in Europe. The traditional know-how of making azulejos, decorated ceramic tiles, continues to inspire the creation of contemporary pieces today. Creating unique pieces, period reproductions, and custom-made orders, the master porcelain makers are the ambassadors of a living heritage, demonstrating infinite precision and meticulousness.
